Tickets and information are available at https://www.yesticket.org/events/de/fliegende-funken-festival/
The current “Lockdown Light” in Germany is forcing us to cancel our mini-corona version of this year’s Fliegende Funken Festival as a face to face event. Fortunately, our teachers Lena Breuer, Beatrix Brunschko and Stephen Davidson have agreed to offer online workshops. The World Wide Web makes it possible that even more people can now participate than originally thought.

We will all meet together on Saturday, November 21st at 3 p.m. in Zoom and then split into the various workshops. In the evening, we return for the panel game show We Asked 100 Improvisers… and then hang out and party! Everyone with an even greater appetite for improv has the opportunity to do another workshop on Sunday morning. With your registration you not only get your workshop space but also support the implementation of a festival that has enriched the improv scene for the tenth year already.

Due to the corona pandemic and the containment measures, we had to redesign the Fliegende Funken Festival 2020 several times. Workshop leaders had to cancel due to travel restrictions, the former festival location is currently used as a warehouse instead of an event location and and and … With the digital version we are now on the safe side. The festival can take place as planned. If you like, with you!

Fliegende Funken: Testimonials
This festival brings different people from different approaches to meet, exchange ideas and participate in mutual challenges. It is diverse in a wonderful way and therefor is a celebration of humanity and connection through performance art.

The Fliegende Funken-Festival is built around a community of warm, intelligent, hilarious artists. Their collective passion to take risks and push the boundaries of what improv typically looks like was extraordinary. The organizers, staff and performers were all top-notch. Highly recommended!

This festival is one of the best we've ever been lucky enough to attend. The hosts and organizers are completely generous and kind--there's no shortage of hospitality from everyone running the fest. The spaces for performances and classrooms are very good and the city of Bremen is beautiful. From the other performers and teachers to the staff and students, it was an immensely pleasurable and enriching experience!
